A huge task but at the same time an extremely rewarding one. St David’s Hospice provides end of life care for patients in Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy – it is an unbelievably wonderful service – even more so due to the fact it is financed mainly through charitable donations and sponsored events. They are a truly dedicated team.
Nettability were invited to tender for the overhaul of their existing bi-lingual website – large amount of content with what seemed like thousands of images. Our suggestions focused on site security, ease of management together with the implementation of tools to look after tailored donations, ticket sales for events, shopping and recruitment. As they are a charity we also wanted to make sure any ongoing costs were kept to an absolute minimum.
Working closely with their communications officer Nettability were able to deliver a secure, fully bi-lingual site that met all of the needs of the Hospice at that time and included the ability to grow as and when required. Simple, straight forward navigation and fully responsive, the site has seen a large increase in online donations and gets a lot of positive feedback from visitors.
The site is fully managed by the Hospice and they are doing a great job – we do get the odd call for a bit of help every now and again but that is only to be expected.
